Boeing to Lay Off 250 in Kansas

Boeing Co. (BA) said on Tuesday it would lay off 250 employees in Wichita, Kan., from its defense unit and other businesses.

The No. 1 U.S. plane maker said the employees would be laid off as of Jan. 13, 2006.
