CHICAGO – Chicago police say a 6-year-old boy died after an overhead garage door fell, striking him on the back.
Authorities said late Saturday that they're uncertain how the door fell or where the boy was when it struck him.
The accident happened on the city's South Side. The boy died at a nearby children's hospital.
Police say they've alerted the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.
