Georgia Tech won't be making an appearance in the College Football Playoffs this season, and now ACC rival FSU may not be either.

On Saturday, the Yellow Jackets handed the No. 9 Seminoles their first loss of the year when Lance Austin returned a blocked last-second, 55-yard field goal attempt by FSU's all-American kicker Roberto Ayala to hand Georgia Tech a thrilling 22-16 victory.

The win snaps a five-game losing streak for the Yellow Jackets (3-5, 1-4 ACC), who began the year with CFP aspirations and a No. 16 ranking.

Meanwhile, the loss all but guarantees FSU (6-1, 4-1 ACC) will not make the football version of the Final Four this season.
