Utah State player arrested after bowl game in Boise

A Utah State football player was arrested in Boise after the Aggies' bowl victory on Saturday.
Junior lineman Sini Tauauvea (SEE'-nee tao-ow-VEH'-ah.) of West Valley City, Utah, was booked into the Ada County jail at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday on charges of misdemeanor battery and trespassing. He is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 7.
Former Aggies player Caleb Mandale Taylor, who was a senior in 2008, also was arrested for investigation of misdemeanor battery. Both men were out of jail by Monday evening.

Details of the arrests were not immediately available.
Utah State beat Toledo 41-15 Saturday in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl at Bronco Stadium.
Utah State football coach Gary Andersen didn't immediately return a phone message left at the university football office Tuesday.
