CLINTON, S.C. – Matt Dickey scored 16 points to lead North Carolina-Asheville to a 74-48 victory over Presbyterian on Saturday night.
John Williams added 14 points for the Bulldogs (8-8, 3-3 Big South Conference), whose 26-point victory was the biggest Big South road win in school history.
UNC Asheville ended the first half on an 8-0 run and continued the momentum with a 14-3 run to open the second. J.P Primm and Williams combined for 13 of those points as the Bulldogs took a 43-28 lead.
Chris Stephenson added 13 points for the Bulldogs, who shot 65.5 percent from the field (19 of 29) in the second half and 54.5 percent (30 of 55) for the game.
Twelve players saw action for UNC Asheville, which shot 58.3 percent from beyond the arc (7 of 12) and had only nine turnovers.
Jake Troyli led Presbyterian (8-9, 2-3), which shot 28.6 percent in the second half (6 of 21), with 11 points.
