Tylor Ongwae scores 22 points as Louisiana-Monroe beats Troy 75-64

Tylor Ongwae scored 22 points and Louisiana-Monroe pulled away from Troy in the second half for a 75-64 victory on Thursday night.

ULM used an 11-6 run to extend its lead to 64-56 with 2:47 to play and made 11 of 12 free throws from there to close out the win.

After a 34-34 tie at halftime, ULM and Troy tied the game again at 36 and 38 before ULM used a 15-8 run to go ahead 53-46 on Daniel Grieves' 3-pointer with 10:25 to play.

Troy scored four straight points to close within 53-50 at the 7:41 mark, but got no closer.

Jayon James had 13 points while Nick Coppola and Amos Olatayo each added 10 for ULM (5-7, 2-2 Sun Belt).

Hunter Williams and Jeff Mullahey led Troy (7-10, 2-3) with 16 points each. Antoine Myers added 13 points and Kevin Thomas grabbed 11 rebounds.
