Twins place Pavano on DL
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The Minnesota Twins have placed right- handed pitcher Carl Pavano on the 15-day disabled list with right anterior capsular strain.
Pavano is 2-5 with a 6.00 ERA in 11 starts this season for the Twins.
To replace Pavano on the 25-man roster, Minnesota will reinstate right-handed pitcher Nick Blackburn from his rehab assignment at Triple-A Rochester.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Blackburn is 1-4 with an 8.37 ERA in seven starts this year for the Twins. He is scheduled to start for the Twins on Wednesday at Kansas City.
