Tiger Woods was in a fog Thursday, and so was everyone else at the Farmers Insurance Open.

Thick fog covered Torrey Pines and forced a one-hour delay. Once the opening round began, nine players completed one hole on the South and North courses before the fog returned and led to another delay of more than an hour.

No rain is in the forecast, though the fog has been thick each morning this week.

Woods, coming off an 82 in the Phoenix Open for the worst score of his career, made it as far as the putting green before play was suspended. He is grouped this week with Rickie Fowler and Billy Horschel.

Woods has missed consecutive cuts — six months apart — for the first time in his career.
