The Timberwolves pick 13th in the NBA draft: What's Love got to do with it?

The Minnesota Timberwolves have been fielding trade proposals for star forward Kevin Love all week. All that talk has overshadowed the fact that they have the 13th pick in the first round of the NBA draft and three more in the second round on Thursday night.

Whether the Wolves trade Love on or before draft night, they are likely to hold on to their first pick because they believe they will be able to find a solid rotation player at that spot.

Michigan State forward Adreian Payne could be the heir apparent to Love.

UCLA guard Zach LaVine, Michigan State guard Gary Harris, Duke small forward Rodney Hood and Louisiana-Lafayette point guard Elfrid Payton are also among the many options the Wolves will consider at 13.
