Stay home: St. Louis won't make stadium pitch at NFL meeting

The new renderings reflect input received over the past seven weeks from the NFL and St. Louis Rams, as well as stakeholders in the project including Ameren, the Terminal Railroad Association, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and others. The task force is developing plans for an open-air NFL stadium project on the North Riverfront of downtown St. Louis that could be the new home for the Rams, as well as related enhancements to the Edward Jones Dome and Americaâs Center convention facility. SAN DIEGO -- The NFL's point man on Los Angeles says he's decided officials from St. Louis and San Diego who are trying to keep their NFL teams won't make presentations on their stadium plans at the owners meeting next month.
Eric Grubman says he felt the back-and-forth discussion the presentations might spark "usually doesn't happen at league meetings when there are outside presenters, and particularly when we have a full agenda."
Grubman says it's likely the NFL will talk to the cities directly during the next several weeks.
