Luiz Felipe Scolari says projections made by him and his staff show that Brazil will be playing the World Cup final against rival Argentina.

Scolari says he and the other coaches analyzed the tournament's bracket and anticipated the South American opponents meeting in the July 13 final.

The coach says he hopes both teams make it to the decisive match because it would put "great players" and two teams with "a lot of quality" against each other.

Scolari said Thursday he doesn't "want to see Argentina being eliminated in the first round or the second round."

The rivals won't meet at the World Cup at least until the semifinals. If both teams finish first in their groups, they will only face each other in the final at the Maracana Stadium.
