Rory McIlroy has signed a new endorsement deal with Swiss watchmaker Omega.

McIlroy becomes the latest brand ambassador for Omega, which has a stable that includes Michael Phelps, Greg Norman, Sergio Garcia and Stacy Lewis among athletes. It's the second partnership McIlroy has signed this year. He has a similar deal with Bose headphones that was announced in late February.

The 23-year-old from Northern Ireland already has won two majors. He was No. 1 in the world until Tiger Woods replaced him two weeks ago.

McIlroy signed an equipment contract with Nike that was announced at the start of the year. He says he doesn't want a lot of corporate partnerships, only those with global brands to reach various parts of the world.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
