(SportsNetwork.com) - The Washington Huskies have swiftly filled their head- coaching vacancy.

Petersen built a highly successful program at Boise State. During his eight years at the helm, the Broncos won five conference titles, the first four coming in the WAC before a move to the Mountain West resulted in a league title last year. Petersen compiled a glittering 92-12 record and led Boise State to a pair of BCS bowl wins.
The Broncos posted an 8-4 mark this season, including a loss to Washington.
