Report: Bears WR Alshon Jeffery expected to play vs. Packers

Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery kneels down after catching a touchdown pass during the first half.

A calf injury has bothered Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery since early August, but he should see the field on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers.

Jeffery and fellow Bears wideout Eddie Royal (hip) are both listed as questionable on the injury report, but ESPN's Adam Schefter expects both pass-catchers to play.

Jeffery, 25, is expected to take over as Chicago's No. 1 wide receiver in a contract year. With so much on the line, he and the Bears have guarded this calf injury and treated it with every precaution possible.
