Redskins TE Cooley retires

Washington Redskins tight end Chris Cooley will be in the team's broadcasting booth this season, effectively retiring after nine seasons, all with the Redskins.

Cooley, who holds Washington's all-time record for receptions by a tight end, was released by the team prior to the start of last season but was re-signed when Fred Davis was injured during the year.

The 31-year-old Cooley was a two-time Pro Bowl selection during his tenure in Washington, recording 429 catches for 4,711 yards and 33 touchdowns over 116 games.
