Reds put Marshall on DL

The Cincinnati Reds placed pitcher Sean Marshall on the 15-day disabled list prior to Wednesday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Marshall (tendinitis in left shoulder) tossed one scoreless inning of relief against the Nationals on Sunday. The shoulder has bothered Marshall since spring training.

A towering presence at 6-foot-7, Marshall went 5-5 with a 2.51 earned run average and nine saves in 73 appearances for the Reds in 2012.

In addition, the Reds recalled pitcher Logan Ondrusek from Double-A Pensacola. He went 5-2 with a 3.46 ERA and two saves in 63 games for the Reds last season.
