Ravens rule out Monroe, Jernigan; activate Ngata

Owings Mills, MD (SportsNetwork.com) - The Baltimore Ravens ruled out left offensive tackle Eugene Monroe and defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan for Saturday night's AFC Wild Card game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Ravens also placed reserve linebacker Arthur Brown on season-ending injured reserve and activated defensive lineman Haloti Ngata from the reserve/suspension list.

Jernigan (foot/ankle) will be replaced in the starting lineup by Ngata, who missed the final four games of the regular season for testing positive for Adderall.

Monroe is dealing with an ankle injury that kept him out of last week's game against the Browns. James Hurst will start in his place for the second consecutive game.

Defensive end Chris Canty (thigh/ankle) is probable after missing the regular- season finale.
