Owings Mills, MD (SportsNetwork.com) - The Baltimore Ravens have locked up one of quarterback Joe Flacco's favorite targets as they reached a five-year deal with tight end Dennis Pitta on Friday.
The Baltimore Sun reported the deal is worth $32 million. The agreement comes three days before the Ravens would have had to utilize the franchise tag in order to keep Pitta from hitting the free-agent market.
Pitta, 28, missed a significant portion of last season while recovering from a fractured and dislocated right hip. He returned to make 20 grabs for 169 yards and one touchdown in the final four games.
