Rangers improve twofold with addition of reliever, stylish dancer Wilhelmsen

The swap between the Texas Rangers and Seattle Mariners this week shipped a few players around in the AL West. The Mariners shed a few pieces that weren't considered long-term cogs in their 'machine' (slugger Logan Morrison and outfielder James Jones) in order to pick up a defensively-minded outfielder in Leonys Martin and pitcher Anthony Bass.
However, the trade wasn't without one dire consequence: the M's lost Tom Wilhelmsen, a hard-throwing reliever known as much for his amazing dance moves as his fastball.

Just watch this clip from the end of the 2014 season and you'll realize just how expensive this trade really was for Seattle:
On the mound, Wilhelmsen owns a career 2.97 ERA and a K/9 rate of 8.5 in just over 312 innings of work so he'll provide another power arm to newly-christened Manager of the Year Jeff Banister's bullpen.

All this to say: the Rangers' bullpen just may have improved in two areas with this trade. All in a day's work for GM Jon Daniels.
