Rafael Nadal withdraws from the French Open with a wrist injury

Rafael Nadal has withdrawn from the French Open because of a left wrist injury.

The nine-time French Open champion advanced to the third round with a straight-sets victory over Facundo Bagnis on Thursday. He was set to face Marcel Granollers on Saturday.

Thursday's win was the 200th of his Grand Slam career.
