Paul George scored 10 of his game-high 28 points in the third quarter and the Indiana Pacers used a 13-0 run to race past the Dallas Mavericks 98-77 on Friday night in the preseason finale for both teams.

Center Roy Hibbert had 14 points and eight rebounds as the Pacers (3-5) closed preseason play with three consecutive victories.

The Mavericks (4-4) were led by forward Dirk Nowitzki with 14 points and small forward Shawn Marion added 10.

The Pacers trailed 51-43, their largest deficit, early in the third period before the 13-point run. They never trailed again, and the final margin equaled their largest lead.

Pacers small forward Danny Granger missed his third consecutive game with a strained calf.

Indiana coach Frank Vogel said Granger's availability for the team's opener on Tuesday at home against Orlando is unclear.
