The Baltimore Orioles have reinstated infielder Wilson Betemit from the 60-day disabled list.
The move was made on Tuesday, prior to the opening of a three-game series against the Boston Red Sox. Betemit had been sidelined since the end of spring training when he sustained a tear of the posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.
The 31-year-old Dominican hit .261 with 12 homers, 19 doubles and 40 RBI in 102 games for Baltimore last season, his first with the franchise.

To make room on the roster, infielder Ryan Flaherty has been sent all the way down to Single-A Frederick of the Carolina League.
Flaherty, 27, collected eight homers and 20 RBI and batted .218 over 75 games for the O's this season, his second in the majors.
