Northwestern won't serve peanuts at Ryan Field on Saturday when the Wildcats take on the Minnesota Golden Gophers.
The university is hosting its first-ever Peanut Free Day for those with peanut allergies. Head football coach Pat Fitzgerald says it will be a special day for "many people that may never have attended a live sporting event."
The school says the stadium will undergo extensive cleaning before the game to make sure no peanut material remains anywhere in the facility.
