No. 6 California beats Arizona State 66-53 for 8th straight win

Layshia Clarendon scored 18 points, Gennifer Brandon added 10 points and 15 rebounds and No. 6 California beat Arizona State 66-53 on Friday night.

Talia Caldwell scored 14 points while Brittany Boyd had 11 points, seven rebounds and five assists to help the Golden Bears (20-2, 10-1 Pac-12) extend their season-high winning streak to eight games. They remained tied for first place in the conference with No. 4 Stanford.

Joy Burke had 16 points and five rebounds for Arizona State. The Sun Devils (11-12, 3-8) have lost four straight and six of seven.
