No. 10 Texas to play without top scorer Taylor because of wrist injury
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Texas leading scorer Isaiah Taylor will miss the championship game of the 2K Classic against California on Friday night because of a left wrist injury.
Taylor was injured late in the No. 10 Longhorns' 71-57 victory over Iowa on Thursday when fell after he was flagrantly fouled by the Hawkeyes' Gabriel Olaseni with 2:06 remaining. The starting point guard had his wrist wrapped in ice after the game.
The Longhorns say Taylor will be re-evaluated when they return to Austin.
