New Miami coach stops in at Hurricanes practice

Mark Richt, who was introduced Friday morning as the new head football coach for the Hurricanes, says it feels good to be back home in Miami and that there are several factors that make him believe they can do big things, and soon.

It didn't take Mark Richt long to find the Hurricanes practice field. The newly hired Miami head coach made an appearance at practice on Friday morning in preparation for its Sun Bowl showdown with Washington State and brought some friends along with him.

According to the Sun Sentinel, Richt entertained a recruit and his family and showed him around Greentree Practice Field.

It's expected that Miami host several recruits on official visits this weekend and the word is that Richt has already been working the recruiting trail hard since his arrival in Miami.
