Murray set to face U.S. in Davis Cup

Glasgow, Scotland (SportsNetwork.com) - Scottish hero Andy Murray will get things going Friday when he meets Donald Young in the best-of-five opening- round Davis Cup tie between host Great Britain and the United States.
Murray-Young will be followed on Day 1 by a bout between towering American John Isner and James Ward.
Saturday's doubles will pit the American Bryan brothers, Mike and Bob, versus a British duo of Dominic Inglot and Murray's older brother, Jamie.

Sunday's reverse singles on the indoor hardcourt at Glasgow's Emirates Arena will pit the world No. 5 Murray against the 20th-ranked 6-foot-10 Isner and the No. 47 Young versus the 111th-ranked Ward.
The two-time Grand Slam champion and 2014 Australian Open runner-up Murray is 19-2 in his career Davis Cup singles.
Team USA is captained by former world No. 1 Jim Courier, while Leon Smith pilots Britain.

This tie marks a repeat of last year's first-round clash in San Diego, where the Murray-led Brits beat the U.S. 3-1.
The Americans and Britain squared off in the first-ever Davis Cup meeting in 1900.
The U.S. leads the all-time series, 11-8. The Americans own a record 32 Davis Cup titles, while Britain boasts nine, with its' last one coming in 1936. The Americans last hoisted the chalice in 2007.

The winner in Glasgow will meet the France-Germany victor in a quarterfinal in July.
