Muller inks Bayern extension

Bayern Munich announced on Wednesday that the club has come to terms on a two-year contract extension with midfielder Thomas Muller, tying the Germany international to the club until 2017.
Muller broke into Bayern's first team during the 2009-10 season and has enjoyed a stellar campaign for the Bundesliga leaders this term, netting nine goals and assisting on seven more in 16 league matches as Bayern takes a nine- point lead into the winter break.
The 23-year-old has also been a standout for the German national team, earning 38 caps and scoring 10 goals for his country.

Muller shared the Golden Boot at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa when he netted five goals with three assists as Germany finished third in the tournament.
