Miami leading rusher Duke Johnson and receiver Phillip Dorsett left the 10th-ranked Hurricanes' game Thursday night at North Carolina in the first quarter because of injuries.

Both players were ruled out for the rest of the game before halftime.

Johnson broke free for a 59-yard run and had 83 yards on eight carries before heading to the locker room with an undisclosed injury. Johnson came in ranked 14th nationally in rushing at 114 yards per game.

Dorsett suffered an apparent left knee injury when he was hit low on a tackle by Jabari Price on a reverse. He was helped off the field and eventually to the locker room before returning to the sideline on crutches late in the second quarter.

The junior had a 68-yard catch before the injury.
