Yoenis Cespedes is looking forward to meeting one of the most famous fans of the New York Mets.

The newest Met retweeted last week's Twitter "welcome" posting by Jerry Seinfeld and replied that he looks forward to see the comedian at a game soon.

Shortly after the Mets acquired Cespedes at Friday's trade deadline, Seinfeld sent out a tweet that quickly went viral and evoked memories from one of the more famous episodes of his long-running sitcom.

"I can't believe I can actually say this, but is it true that there is now "A Cespedis for the rest of us"? Seinfeld tweeted.

It mimicked a line: "A Festivus for the rest of us!" from an episode celebrating a fictional holiday just before Christmas.
