Dallas Mavericks rookie guard Shane Larkin reportedly suffered a broken ankle while participating in a summer-league practice on Friday.
The story was reported by Yahoo! Sports, and the Mavs' first-round draft choice is expected to miss 2-3 months.
Dallas acquired the former Hurricane with the 18th overall pick in last month's NBA Draft after moving back two spots through trades with the Boston Celtics and the Atlanta Hawks.

The 20-year-old spent two seasons at Miami, and as a sophomore averaged 14.5 points, 4.6 assists and 3.8 rebounds.
He was an integral part in helping the Hurricanes capture the ACC championship and led them on a run to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament this past season.
