Lawson, Nuggets agree to extension

The Denver Nuggets and point guard Ty Lawson agreed to a contract extension on Tuesday.
Lawson, the 18th overall pick in the 2009 draft, averaged a team-high 16.4 points per game last season while also totaling career-highs in assists (6.6 apg) and rebounds (3.7 rpg).
"It Looks like im going to be a nugget for another 4 yrs," Lawson wrote on his Twitter page on Tuesday.

The 5-foot-11 guard helped North Carolina win the 2009 NCAA Championship.
"We are thrilled to have reached an agreement on a contractual extension with Ty," Nuggets president Josh Kroenke said. "This new contract is a reflection of his hard work and dedication throughout the past three seasons with our organization."
