Fort Worth, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - After beating four Top 25 opponents in as many games, eighth-ranked Kansas avoided a letdown against TCU and cruised to a 91-69 road win.
Freshman Andrew Wiggins scored a career-high 27 points to lead the Jayhawks (15-4, 6-0 Big 12), who shot 57.4 percent and held a 40-24 rebounding advantage. Freshman Joel Embiid finished with 14 points and three blocks, while Perry Ellis grabbed a personal-best 14 rebounds.
"Last year, we didn't leave out of here very happy and it wasn't because we didn't play very well; it was because TCU whipped us. They were better than us last year without question. Tonight we played much better," Jayhawks head coach Bill Self said.

Brandon Parrish had 15 points and Amric Fields scored 13 with seven boards for TCU (9-10, 0-7), who stunned then-No. 5 Kansas at home Feb. 6 last season.
"We're not deep enough. We're not where we need to be in terms of competing like a team like that," TCU head coach Trent Johnson said.
The current incarnation of Jayhawks made sure another upset didn't occur as they never trailed. Kansas raced out to a 14-6 lead and later went on a 15-3 run after the Horned Frogs had closed to within 30-20.

Wayne Selden, Jr. sank two free throws to put Kansas up 53-29 in the waning moments of the opening frame. Parrish nailed a 3-pointer ahead of the half- time buzzer, but TCU couldn't carry the momentum into the second half as the Jayhawks maintained a healthy lead throughout the stanza.
