John Wall gets red-carpet treatment from Wizards

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Washington Wizards have arranged a Hollywood-style red carpet welcome for John Wall.

The franchise went over the top for its No. 1 overall pick in the NBA draft, setting out a roped-off red carpet outside the Verizon Center and another red carpet inside the front doors and leading to the elevator. Huge banners and T-shirts proclaimed Wall as a "Game Changer."

The point guard from Kentucky was expected to arrive early Friday afternoon, one day after he was chosen with the first pick of the draft in New York.
