Jets double up Stars

Winnipeg, MB (SportsNetwork.com) - Dustin Byfuglien scored the eventual game- winner early in the third period, sending the Winnipeg Jets to a 4-2 victory over the Dallas Stars.
Bryan Little, Adam Lowry and Michael Frolik also lit the lamp for the Jets, who snapped a two-game losing streak. Michael Hutchinson made 26 saves.
"Good first, good third, didn't like the second," Jets coach Paul Maurice said.

Erik Cole and Jason Demers scored for the Stars, who have lost four in a row. Jhonas Enroth stopped 21-of-24 shots.
"It's the same story. We dominated play and we hit four to five goalposts," Stars coach Lindy Ruff said.
Little scored on the power play at 5:05 of the first period when his one-timer from the left circle got past Enroth.

Cole tied things up 12 minutes into the middle stanza. After Winnipeg turned the puck over in its own zone, Jason Spezza made a cross-ice pass to Cole.
Lowry put home his own rebound at 14:34 to make it 2-1.
Byfuglien took a pass from Jacob Trouba and scored on a breakaway at 5:10 of the third.

Frolik scored an empty-net goal at the 16:53 mark to make it 4-1. Demers lit the lamp two minutes later to account for the final margin.
Game Notes
Dallas went 0-for-3 on the power play, while the Jets went 1-for-3 ... Winnipeg forward Blake Wheeler's consecutive-games played streak ended at 227 games because of a lower-body injury ... The Jets started a four-game homestand on Tuesday.
