A shot clock lost power early in the second half of the Missouri Valley Conference tournament quarterfinal between Illinois State and Missouri State, causing an awkward delay.

The clock under the Missouri State basket went blank three times in the opening minute Friday and the game was halted with 19:03 to play. Tournament director Jack Watkins said the game was delayed three minutes while personnel repaired the connection.

Missouri State won 53-48 victory, advancing to the semifinals against unbeaten and second-ranked Wichita State on Saturday.
