Griffin: 'I believe that I am' Redskins' franchise QB, after coach says 'jury is still out'

Robert Griffin III doesn't see the final seven games of the season as a chance to prove he's definitively the Washington Redskins' franchise quarterback. In his mind, he already is.
One day after coach Jay Gruden said "the jury is still out" on the Redskins' quarterback position, Griffin tried to put any doubts to rest, saying: "When it comes to being the franchise guy, that is what it is. I believe that I am. I believe that this organization knows that I am, and I know those guys in the locker room believe that I am."
Griffin says he hasn't had much of a chance to play for Gruden yet because of an ankle injury. Griffin returned Sunday after a six-week layoff.
