Greuther Furth adds Edu on loan from Schalke
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Greuther Furth signed Brazilian striker Edu on a one-year loan from Schalke on Friday.
Edu, 30, has been at Schalke since 2010, and also has experience in Germany at Bochum and Mainz. He started his career with Sao Paulo, and has also played at Nautico and CRAC in Brazil, Suwon Bluewings in South Korea and Besiktas in Turkey.
"I am very pleased that this transfer has worked out at the last minute. Edu brings extensive international experience and knows the Bundesliga inside out. It can help to stabilize our young, some still Bundesliga inexperienced team," Furth coach Mike Buskens said.
