Go Ahead Eagles brush aside Zwolle

Deventer, Netherlands (SportsNetwork.com) - Go Ahead Eagles scored twice on both sides of halftime to roll past Zwolle in a 4-0 victory at the Adelaarshorst on Sunday.

The home side was in a comfortable position early on thanks to goals from Doke Schmidt and Erik Falkenburg in the sixth and 15th minutes, respectively.

Jarchinio Antonia extended Go Ahead's lead 12 minutes after the halftime interval and Job van der Linden converted a penalty in the 70th minute to put the victory beyond any doubt, though Stefan Nijland's strike in the 74th minute helped Zwolle deny the home side a clean sheet.

Go Ahead climbs to 20 points on the season, putting an end to its three-game winless run in Eredivisie play and bringing the club to within two points of Zwolle.

Also on Sunday, Oussama Tannane bagged a brace for Heracles in the club's 3-1 defeat of Roda, Tom Beugelsdijk netted an 83rd-minute winner in Den Haag's 2-1 victory at Groningen and Feyenoord scored twice inside the opening 16 minutes to get a 2-1 win at Heerenveen.
