Giants LB Butler suspended

New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - New York Giants linebacker Victor Butler has been suspended for the first four games of the 2015 season for violating the league's policy on performance enhancing substances, according to multiple media reports.

Butler, who was signed to a futures contract with the Giants, can participate in training camp and play in preseason games.

A fourth-round pick of the Cowboys in the 2009 draft, Butler played in every contest except one for Dallas from 2009-12. He was then signed by New Orleans, but a torn ACL derailed his 2013 season. He appeared in two games for the Colts last season after being cut by Arizona.
