Giants coach Tom Coughlin blame him for Giants miserable start, not Eli Manning

Tom Coughlin wants everybody to stop blaming Eli Manning for the New York Giants' miserable start.

Speaking in a conference call Monday after the Giants' record fell to 0-5 with a 36-21 loss to Philadelphia, Coughlin said the blame for the team's worst since 1987 should be directed toward him.

Once money in the fourth quarter, Manning has struggled with the game on the line this season. He has thrown a league-high 12 interceptions, including three on consecutive series in the fourth quarter Sunday.

Nick Foles turned two of the picks into Eagles touchdown passes.

Coming into 2013, Manning had led 24 fourth-quarter comebacks, That was third among active quarterbacks, behind big brother, Peyton, and Tom Brady.

Coughlin said Manning is trying to do too much, and not getting help.
