Gattuso completes Sion switch

Former AC Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso has completed a move to Swiss side FC Sion on a two-year contract.

The 34-year-old was released by Milan at the conclusion of the season, ending a 13-year stay at the San Siro with the Rossoneri.

The former Italy international was linked with a move to his former side Rangers, but the financial situation with the Glasgow outfit caused him to reconsider.

Gattuso won two Serie A titles at Milan as well as two Champions League trophies and the World Cup with Italy in 2006.
