Former Wofford starting quarterback Brian Kass will use his final season of eligibility as a graduate student at Coastal Carolina this year.
Kass spent the last four years at Wofford, including one as a redshirt. Under the NCAA's graduate student transfer-exception rule, he can play immediately at Coastal Carolina.
Kass, from Raleigh, N.C., was the starter at Wofford last season, but a hip injury sidelined him for three of the Southern Conference tri-champion's final four games. He struggled in an FCS national quarterfinal at North Dakota State and was taken out of the game.

Coastal Carolina won a share of the Big South Conference title and a playoff game for the first time while finishing 8-5 last season.
