Felix scores 18 points, grabs 14 rebounds to help Arizona State hold back Oregon State 72-62

Carrick Felix had 18 points and 14 rebounds and Arizona State held off a late Oregon State comeback Thursday night for a 72-62 victory.

Jahii Carson added 20 points for Arizona State (14-2, 3-0 Pac-12), who won its first conference road game of the season.

Devon Collier had 18 points, eight rebounds for Oregon State (10-5, 0-2).

A 9-2 run early in the second half helped Arizona State push a six-point halftime lead to 15. Jonathan Gilling's basket finished the run, giving the Sun Devils a 52-37 lead with 14:18 left.

The Beavers answered, scoring seven in a row to cut the deficit to eight.

Oregon State kept chipping away, with Ahmad Starks hitting a short jumper with 6:58 remaining to cap a 7-0 run putting the score at 55-51. Arizona State came back to go up 65-55 with 1:42 left. Oregon State got no closer than eight from there.
