The race for Champions League football intensified on Tuesday, even with a lack of goals at the Emirates.
The English Premier League table remained unchanged after third-place Arsenal was held to a 0-0 draw by sixth-place Everton, keeping the two clubs separated by four points.
The finishing at the offensive end was lacking from both sides on Tuesday, but most-notably from Olivier Giroud.

The Frenchman had a great opportunity to open the scoring in the 42nd minute when he got on the end of a cross from Aaron Ramsey. The delivery pulled Tim Howard off his line and left a gaping hole in front of goal for Giroud to exploit, but the 26-year-old poked his effort just wide of the net.
Giroud had a similar opportunity in the second half when Alex Oxlade- Chamberlain slid a low pass in front of goal, but Seamus Coleman tracked back to cut the cross out with a sliding challenge.
The Arsenal striker continued to get himself in favorable positions only to come up short, leaving the Gunners to rue their missed chances.
