Dodgers place Guerra on DL

The Los Angeles Dodgers have placed reliever Javy Guerra on the 15-day disabled list on Tuesday.

The move is retroactive to September 3 as Guerra is suffering from a left oblique muscle strain.

He is 2-3 with eight saves and a 2.60 ERA in 45 games with the Dodgers this season. He has not allowed a run in his past 10 appearances, a span of 12 1/3 innings.

The Dodgers recalled right-hander Josh Wall from Triple-A Albuquerque to take Guerra's roster spot. Wall went 1-0 with an 11.57 ERA in three relief appearances before being optioned on August 30.
