Tennessee senior hybrid defensive end/linebacker Curt Maggitt announced Saturday he would not be pursuing a potential sixth-season of eligibility on Rocky Top. Citing the foundation of the Volunteer football program being set, Maggitt clearly feels his work as a Volunteer has been done.

The sixth season was a possibility due to the fact Maggitt missed the entire 2013 season following knee surgery and missed all but two games of the 2015 season after injuring his hip against Oklahoma in the home opener.

Maggitt ends his Tennessee career after piling up 141 tackles, 28.5 tackles-for-loss, four forced fumbles and 13.5 sacks.
