Creighton starting its Class of 2017 on Saturday afternoon, as Jeff Goodman of ESPN reported that shooting guard Ty-Shon Alexander had verbally committed to the Bluejays.

A native of Charlotte, Alexander currently attends powerhouse Oak Hill Academy (Virginia), playing alongside of the nation's top players, Harry Giles.

By the time Alexander arrives in Omaha, the Bluejays will be in need of backcourt depth with Maurice Watson Jr., Malik Albert and Isaiah Zierden all exhausting their eligibility after the 2016-17 season. At 6-foot-4, Alexander will add size and a 3-point touch on the Bluejays perimeter.

Alexander held scholarship offers from Clemson and Virginia Tech.
