Special to Outkick The Coverage from OddsShark.com

The Stanford Cardinal have won seven straight games against the UCLA Bruins and managed to cover the posted spread in six of those contests as we take a look at the college football betting trends for Week 7 of the season.

Stanford topped UCLA 31-10 on the road last season as 6-point underdogs on the betting lines, and they enter the matchup between ranked teams on Thursday night as a 6.5-point home favorite at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark at 4-1 both straight up and against the spread on the season. UCLA is 4-1 SU and 3-2 ATS heading into the key contest.

The Cardinal are 22-2 SU in their last 24 games at home, while the Bruins have struggled to pay out on the football betting lines at 0-7 ATS in their seven most recent games in October.

Elsewhere this week, the UNDER is 5-0 in the last five games for USC on the road as they head to Notre Dame with interim head coach Clay Helton in charge to face the Fighting Irish as increasing underdogs; Notre Dame opened as a 3-point favorite but have been bet up to a 7-point favorite at some sportsbooks. Notre Dame is on a run of 6-1 both SU and ATS.

Michigan State is 7-0 ATS in its last seven games against Michigan but has failed to cover the posted spread in each of its last six games as those teams prepare to meet on Saturday. The Wolverines are set as 7.5-point home favorites. As well, Texas A&M is just 2-6 ATS in its last eight home games as it hosts Alabama this week as a 4.5-point underdog.
