Christina McHale of US reaches semis in Quebec with comeback win over Slovenia's Polona Hercog

Christina McHale advanced to the semifinals of the Bell Challenge, rallying to beat Polona Hercog of Slovenia 1-6, 7-6 (4), 6-3 on Friday night.

The American will face Marina Erakovic of New Zealand on Saturday with a chance to reach the finals. Erakovic beat Ajla Tomljanovic of Croatia 2-6, 6-1, 7-5.

Canadian teenager Eugenie Bouchard also advanced to the semis by beating Kristina Mladenovic of France 6-3, 6-2. Bouchard will face Lucie Safarova of the Czech Republic, who beat American Lauren Davis 6-2, 6-4.
